WASHINGTON, July 16 (LSN)  Pre-born children won a significant victory in the   US yesterday as the House of Representatives passed a bill that makes it a crime for   anyone who isn’t the parent or legal guardian to evade parental involvement laws in a pregnant teenager’s home state by taking her to a state that imposes no requirements on underage girls seeking abortions. House support for the bill was strong with a vote of 276-150. Sixty-seven Democrats, however, joined Republicans in supporting the bill.  The legislation now goes to the Senate.  Despite the strong support, however, strong opposition was voiced by those defending   the lucrative abortion industry. Pro-abortion Congressmen argued that other family members should also be permited to transport teenagers across state lines for abortions without prosecution. Without this loophole they were not prepared to support the bill   despite the fact that the status quo permits anybody, including self-interested and coercive boyfriends, to transport pregnant teens across state lines. Pro-abortion President Bill Clinton has latched onto this argument to defend his intention to veto the legislation.
