BUCKS COUNTY, Pennsylvania (LifeSiteNews) — A conservative activist in Bucks County, Pennsylvania said prominent office supply store Staples canceled his on-site mailbox after he sent out mailers warning voters of sexually explicit books made available to kids.
“It’s just kind of jarring to be banned from an office supply store because of my protected political speech,” said Stop Bucks Extremism (SBE) founder Bob Salera in comments to FOX Business on Tuesday.
The conservative activist said Staples abruptly shut down his on-site mailbox, run by iPostal1 with a physical location at Staples, after he sent out envelopes to registered voters with an “explicit content” label on the outside.
The alleged cancellation took place just weeks ahead of Election Day.

Inside the sealed envelopes, Salera placed political mailings with photos of content in radical pro-LGBT books marketed to minors, including “Gender Queer: A Memoir” and “This Book is Gay.” The former is recommended for young adults ages 18 and up on Amazon, and just 15 and up on Barnes and Noble. The latter is recommended on Amazon for teens ages 14 to 18.
Both books contain graphic images and descriptions of homosexual activity and are among a bevy of titles that have shocked parents nationwide, leading to grassroots and legislative efforts to pull the books and any similar texts from any school libraries or classrooms where they are present.
Salera told FOX Business the mailers were “sent inside a sealed envelope with a disclaimer warning there were sexually explicit photos inside,” explaining that the images were intended to show voters the sort of “books that Democrats want in schools.”
He said the “only difference between us and them is that we’re not making these images available to minors, which the Democrats want to do … ”
FOX Business said it obtained an email from the office of Staples’ president explaining that Salera had violated a user agreement and his mailbox was therefore being “terminated.”
“The letter said that ‘management has been extremely patient’ with Salera ‘up to this point’ and that the company had taken ‘all reasonable steps to satisfy your needs as a customer’ but did not yield any ‘success,’” the outlet reported.
When Salera — who said he never physically entered the Staples location — asked for clarification from the company, he said he was advised that “a mailing using the mailbox return address” had been “offensive to their customers.”
Salera said Staples did not respond to his further requests for clarity regarding whether his ban would be rolled back, FOX Business reported. The company also didn’t respond to repeated requests by FOX for comment.

As LifeSiteNews has extensively reported, young children have been actively being encouraged in their classrooms to adopt “transgender,” “gender-fluid,” or “non-binary” identities. Transgender identification among children has grown sharply in recent years, and the rates of surgical mutilation for minors have risen astronomically.
The phenomenon has triggered backlash from parents and conservative lawmakers, who have worked to pull sexually explicit and pro-LGBT curricula and materials from classrooms and school libraries. Prominent Democrats like California Gov. Gavin Newsom have decried the efforts to protect children from sexually inappropriate content as “book banning.”
