Anthony Scaramucci

July 31, 2017 (LifeSiteNews) — Anthony Scaramucci, the brash, vulgar businessman just hired to become White House communications director, was fired today even before his official start date of August 15 after his X-rated media rant against former Trump Chief of Staff Reince Priebus and Trump adviser Stephen Bannon.

Scaramucci had called Priebus “a [f—k—g] paranoid schizophrenic, a paranoiac,” in a bizarre interview Thursday with the liberal-leaning New Yorker magazine, and made a perverse sexual reference to attack Bannon. President Trump found the comments “inappropriate for a person in that position,” said White House spokesman Sarah Huckabee Sanders.

Sanders said Scaramucci will no longer have a role in the Trump administration, answering the question of whether incoming Chief of Staff Gen. John Kelly would assert his authority as top of the chain of command at the Trump White House — something conservative pundits like Charles Krauthammer said would be required to bring order there.

Influential religious leader Bob Vander Plaats had tweeted: “General Kelly needs to show he's in charge. First move should be to fire @Scaramucci No place for his behavior…anywhere…especially WH [White House].”

Vander Plaats, the CEO of the Iowa-based organization Family Leader, immediately applauded Trump for ousting Scaramucci: “Congratulations to @POTUS and new COS [Chief-of-Staff] General Kelly, for making best decision to fire @Scaramucci #culturematters,” Vander Plaats tweeted after the New York Times reported on Scaramucci’s firing.

What shocked Vander Plaats and so many observers of Washington politics was the public nastiness of Scaramucci’s tirade directed at Trump staffers. Furious over White House leaks, the New York hedge fund entrepreneur let loose with a flurry of F-bombs directed at Priebus, who, along with Press Secretary Sean Spicer, reportedly had strongly lobbied against Scaramucci getting the communications job. Spicer quit when Scaramucci's hiring was confirmed and Priebus was fired so that Kelly could take his place.

In what Scaramucci later claimed was an off-the-record tirade, Scaramucci lashed out at Bannon, as relayed below by New Yorker reporter Ryan Lizza:

‘Scaramucci also told me that, unlike other senior officials, he had no interest in media attention. ‘I’m not Steve Bannon, I’m not trying to suck my own [c—k],’ he said, speaking of Trump’s chief strategist. ‘I’m not trying to build my own brand off the [f—k—g] strength of the President. I’m here to serve the country.’ (Bannon declined to comment.).”

Vander Plaats wrote publicly to President Trump: “I suggest you lead by first washing out Mr. Scaramucci’s mouth with a bar of soap. After a thorough rinsing, strip his credentials and escort him personally off the White House grounds.”

Meanwhile, left-wing, Trump-despising media like Rolling Stone had a field day with Scaramucci’s media debacle, seeing it as confirmation of Trump’s amateurish and rash style. Three days ago, Rolling Stone writer Matt Taibbi headlined his piece: “The Anthony Scaramucci Era Will Be Freakish, Embarrassing and All Too Short.”

Conservatives, too, expressed outrage at Scaramucci’s recklessness and crudity. Vander Plaats warned Christian leaders who support Trump regarding the vulgar New Yorker comments, “Silence equals assent.” He wrote:

“Freshly appointed Communications Director Anthony Scaramucci recently stated that a fish stinks from the head down. I agree. This is why President Trump must take quick and decisive action to preserve the legacy of our great republic. The issues of health care, border security, infrastructure, and the economy are no longer the most pressing issues. It is now honor, integrity, trust, and the restoration of decency.

“Yes, the world is watching. And, more importantly, our children are watching.

“Mr. President, it is time to look in the mirror, accept responsibility, apologize to the American people, and declare an end to this behavior immediately. While what I’m urging may not be the “Trump” brand, it is the brand of a leader. We need a leader. You must lead!”

The conservative website Red State ran a story, “The Mooch [Scaramucci's nickname] Didn't Just Get Fired — He Was ESCORTED OFF THE PROPERTY,” celebrating the ex-aide's humiliating departure from the White House.

Levin: ‘Stupid, moronic’

Conservative pundit and Rediscovering Americanism author Mark Levin — hardly one who can be accused of being a part of the GOP establishment “swamp” — laid into Scaramucci over his “absolutely disgusting” comments on his popular radio show.

“It makes these guys look stupid, moronic, pathetic! That’s not how you serve your president, in my view,” Levin said, according to a Breitbart report, adding that he feared that the “American people are not going to tolerate this in the next election if these guys don’t get their act together.”

“The president is under brutal attack, and he really needs some pros around him,” Levin said.

Fellow conservative talker Laura Ingraham, founder and editor-in-chief of LifeZette, echoed Levin’s criticisms.

“I like Scaramucci — I think he is very talented, but this episode is humiliating to the president,” Ingraham said, according to LifeZette. “I think it ultimately humiliates [Trump].”

“It does not serve the communication of this agenda well,” Ingraham said while guest-hosting for Tucker Carlson on Fox News. “I'm probably going to tick them off by saying it, but I say it out of deep love and affection … I'm sorry, but to go after Steve Bannon … He's there in the White House until 11 p.m. every night … Bannon doesn't need to build his brand. He's trying to help the country and help Trump.”

Scaramucci was very pro-homosexual

The episode reminded wary conservatives of Scaramucci’s political tone-deafness, such as when in November he bragged to the BBC — as a Trump adviser — about being pro-homosexual-“marriage” and giving donations to Human Rights Campaign. HRC is the nation’s largest LGBTQ lobby and strongly backed Hillary Clinton in her unsuccessful race against Trump.

Breitbart, where Bannon once worked as editor, took to calling Scaramucci’s cringeworthy White House debut the “The Scaramucci Show.” Obviously, Gen. Kelly prevailed upon Trump to quickly and decisively end the run of that “show” before another embarrassing episode blew up in the media.
