HARRISBURG, Pennsylvania, July 29, 2004 (LifeSiteNews.com) – A Penn state appeals court has ruled that the verbal agreement between a sperm donor and the mother of their child is not binding, meaning he is now obliged to pay child support.  A decision by three judges stated that the deal between Joel McKiernan and Ivonne Ferguson—where McKiernan would be under no obligation to support his offspring—was moot, due to “legal, equitable and moral principles.”“It is in the interest of the children we hold most dear,”’ Judge Patrick Tamalia wrote in his decision.
