LIFESITE, October 3, 2003 (LifeSiteNews.com) – In an Agape Press special feature writer Ed Vitagliano notes disturbing aspects of homosexuality that are usually not publicly admitted by homosexual activists and their many supporters.  Vitagliano begins by stating that “The well-guarded secret of the homosexual movement is that, regardless of how one understands the causes of homosexuality, the nature of it is, at its core, sexual rebellion. ‘Gays’ and lesbians are driven to challenge and destroy every conception of what is considered to be sexual normalcy”.

The statement is reinforced by a quote from Richard Goldstein, a columnist for the homosexual magazine The Advocate. Goldstein, reports Vitagliano, “said that within the homosexual is ‘the impulse to shatter the strictures of male or female identity’”.  The obsession with sex, says Vitagliano, leads to “a promiscuous lifestyle that is a feature of the homosexual community”.  The legal recognition of homosexual ‘marriage’ or same-sex unions will not alleviate this danger since, “Even among so-called monogamous homosexual couples, a relatively promiscuous lifestyle is typical. A study of Dutch homosexual men, published in the May issue of the journal AIDS, revealed that gays coupled in long-term relationships still had an average of eight additional sex partners a year outside the ‘monogamous’ union.”  Comments from prominent gay community representatives suggest that trying to get most homosexual persons to abandon their promiscuity will not succeed. Homosexual anthropologist Ralph Bolton stated, “Promiscuity was a key feature of gay culture as it evolved, and attempts to extirpate promiscuity should be interpreted as an attack on gay culture and gay liberation”. Bolton further adds “[c]alling for a reduction in the number of sexual partners implied a radical restructuring of all of gay social life”, which implies that most will not accept this, especially given the rebellious nature which Vitagliano posits is at the core of homosexuality.  Still, Vitagliano insists, the homosexual community is forced to deal with these realities “because of one very inconvenient fact: gluttonous sexual appetites lead to terrifying repercussions”.

Gabriel Rotello, homosexual activist and author of Sexual Ecology: AIDS and the Destiny of Gay Men admitted that, “The appearance of a multitude of epidemic diseases almost immediately after gay men had carved out zones of sexual freedom has opened up the grim, almost unthinkable possibility that for gay men, sexual freedom leads inexorably to disease.”  The seemingly natural sexual recklessness within the homosexual community, suggests Vitaglian, explains such thing as the disturbing fact that “new cases of HIV infection among ‘gay’ and bisexual men (in the U.S.) has risen nearly 18% over the last three years”.  See Vitagliano’s complete article,  Sexual Suicide The Rebellion of Homosexuality Causes Untold Suffering, at https://headlines.agapepress.org/archive/9/292003b.asp
