WISCONSIN, November 8, 2016 (LifeSiteNews)–Pro-life Senator Ron Johnson brought the GOP one step closer to controlling the U.S. Senate by beating pro-abortion Russ Feingold.

Johnson has a 100% pro-life voting record–he has supported a slew of pro-life legislation–and was endorsed by the pro-life Susan B. Anthony List. Planned Parenthood Action endorsed Feingold, who was a senator from 1993 – 2001.

“In an uphill battle where all polls predicted a loss for pro-life Senator Ron Johnson, the race has just been called in his favor!” SBA List wrote on its live election blog. “Sen. Johnson has a 100% pro-life voting record during his time in the Senate. This race was a crucial win to keeping a pro-life majority in the Senate. Congratulations to Sen. Johnson!”

Planned Parenthood had touted Feingold as a “champion for reproductive health care” who voted to expand U.S.-funded abortion abroad.
