PHILADELPHIA, May 16, 2013 (LifeSiteNews.com) – When authorities raided Kermit Gosnell’s ‘House of Horrors’ abortion clinic in February 2010, among the many grisly discoveries were the bodies of some 45 unborn babies. The remains were frozen and stored in a variety of containers, including milk jugs, cat food cans, and even a cherry lime-ade container.

However, according to one of the detectives who worked on the case, there may be even more remains that haven't yet been recovered.

“I think there are still babies in the basement,” said Philadelphia Police Crimes Scene Unit Detective John Taggart at a press conference yesterday, according to local reporter J.D. Mullane.

Taggart has spent a considerable amount of time in Gosnell’s clinic. He took roughly 300 photographs of the facility that were displayed in court last month.

Earlier this month the pro-life group Priests for Life held a ceremony in which they named each of the 45 victims whose remains were recovered from the abortion facility.

Fr. Frank Pavone, the national director of Priests for Life, has also requested from the Medical Examiner the bodies of the babies to provide them with a proper burial.

“These are not just medical waste. These are human bodies,” said Fr. Pavone. “Real human beings were killed.”

The medical examiner has said he will get back to Fr. Pavone.
