I talk with our donors every day who call expressing their gratitude for the work we are doing here at LifeSiteNews. These calls have become the highlight of my day since beginning in August as LifeSiteNews’ Development Director.
As I first started receiving thank you calls and emails from our readers, it gave me a great sense of confidence and fueled the fire inside me that had been lit by the causes of life and family. Your communications continue to do both – but they also mean much more.
You see, I realized that while being appreciated and needed certainly helps inspire us here at LifeSiteNews to continue our work, the truth is I am even more inspired by something else, something more fundamental to our success:
You are the ones doing this great work through us!
We are only successful in our mission because you frequently act in response to our reports and cause needed change to happen. Without this we would just be another Internet service publishing lots of words.
The other crucial thing that you do is provide us with the financial resources to publish LifeSiteNews. Without that, we could not do anything. And yet, LifeSiteNews’ readers continue to financially support us month after month, year after year.
Those of you who have been in the trenches of this culture war , whether it be as a volunteer, prayer warrior, protestor, supporter, or worker, know all too well – everyone has a part to play.
In addition to saving lives and changing laws, we are all in the business of changing hearts and minds. This is what ultimately makes cultural renewal possible.
And it’s not only the hearts and minds of others: first and foremost, we are responsible for our own hearts – our commitment to staying awake and informed is the most important way to save babies, protect families, and transform culture!
Working for LifeSiteNews has been a very humbling experience for me. I am humbled that I have been called to serve life and family in the capacity that I do each day working for this incredible organization. The blessing of this job in my life has been tremendous, not only in allowing me to provide for my family, but also spiritually by assisting me in my own process of deeper conversion.
I am also humbled by the amazing work you do in supporting LifeSiteNews. As someone who is trying to raise a family (my wife and I are expecting our third child) in our current economy, I know what a sacrifice it is to remain generous in these times.
Truly, the greatest work for the Culture of Life is being done by you, our supporters!
