EUTHANASIA MASS KILLING IN COPENHAGEN   COPENHAGEN, Denmark, Oct 23 (LSN) – In the biggest mass killing in modern Danish history, police charged a nurse and a doctor on Tuesday with killing 22 people at a nursing home for the elderly. Police statements used a term that translates as “active euthanasia,’’ implying that they considered the deaths could be the result of so-called mercy killings.

Authorities said the 32-year-old woman allegedly killed the victims with a morphine-based drug. She was also charged with theft and embezzlement from nursing home patients of $108,000 Cdn. The doctor was charged with breach of duty and negligent homicide.
