HAGERSTOWN, Maryland (LifeSiteNews) — Dr. Robert Malone advised America’s “People’s Convoy” to play the “long game” in their fight for freedom from COVID restrictions.
According to the Epoch Times, Malone spoke at a rally held on March 26 in Hagerstown, MD, where the convoy had camped during their D.C. protest of the federal state of emergency. The pioneer of mRNA technology encouraged a “long game” approach, saying Americans are now engaged in “total information warfare.”
“There’s no reason for the declaration of emergency because there is no medical emergency,” Malone said.
He added that Americans should work for “integrity, dignity, and community.”
Explaining the People’s Convoy strategy moving forward, organizer Mike Landis said, “We all are the underdogs because the government has way more time and money than we do. You’ve got to pick the right time as to when to pick it up and when to just wait it out.”
Co-organizer Brian Brase declared, “I know that as a human being walking this earth, no government, no company, no one may violate my God-given right!”
The national emergency, invoked to defend the USA from the COVID virus, was declared by President Donald Trump on March 13, 2020. On February 18, 2022, his successor Joseph Biden said that the state of emergency “must continue in effect beyond March 1, 2022.”
On March 3, the U.S. Senate passed a bill to end the federal COVID state of emergency. However, in the House, a similar measure has been held in committee since May 2021. On March 16 of this year, Rep Paul Gosar introduced a petition for the measure to bypass the committee. It will need an absolute majority of 218 votes to bypass committee and be voted on by the House. The petition currently has 43 signatures.
