WASHINGTON, May 5 (LifeSiteNews.com) – With genetic technology advancements, the gene for dwarfism and other genetically-based characteristics can now be easily detected in in-utero babies. Given this fact some believe society is gearing up to embark on a campaign to search out and destroy the human embryos found to exhibit the gene for dwarfism and other ‘undesirable’  characteristics.

The National Post reported yesterday that the U.S. National Institutes of Health recently asked 300 dwarfs and their families how happy they were with their lives – and about their attitudes toward genetic testing and abortion.

Dwarfs are one of the first targets but the Post warns that within 10 or 15 years, a simple prenatal test is expected that can detect 100 or more gene-related abnormalities. Designer babies under this scheme are achieved by killing the embryos found to have undesirable characteristics.
