(LifeSiteNews) — Elon Musk announced he will file for full custody of his son after his mother came out as a supporter of transgender ideology.
Ashley St. Clair, a formerly conservative influencer and the mother of Musk’s one-year-old son, has said on X that she feels “immense guilt” for spreading “transphobia” in the past.
“And even more guilt that things I have said in the past may have caused my son’s sister more pain,” she stated. St. Clair was apparently referring to Musk’s gender-confused son, who identifies as female and would be her son’s half-brother.
“[I don’t know] how to make amends for many of these things but I have been trying incredibly hard privately to learn [and] advocate for those within the trans community that I’ve hurt,” St. Clair said.
“I also haven’t said much on this [because] I have gone back and forth over whether my voice would be helpful on the issue since it will be framed as disingenuous or just turning [because] I’m ‘scorned.’”
She concluded by telling a pro-transgender activist account, “Let me know how I can help.”
Before her involvement with Musk, St. Clair was known as a right-wing influencer who previously worked for Turning Point USA and the Christian satire outlet Babylon Bee. She authored a children’s book titled “Elephants Are Not Birds” in 2021 as a rebuke to transgender ideology.
Musk said in a reply to a different post, “I will be filing for full custody today, given her statements implying she might transition a one-year-old boy.”
The tech billionaire has repeatedly stated how much it pains him to have lost his son to transgender ideology, and apparently took St. Clair’s statements as an implication that she might instill their son with the same ideology and perhaps even “transition” him.
Musk, who has fathered 14 children with four different women and at least two surrogates, offered some reflection and self-criticism in response to an anonymous user on X.
“Elon, I love you and I think overall you try to do the right thing,” a user named “The Goblin Guy” stated. “I also think it is disgusting how you were treated when you tried to uncover government fraud, both by (some of) the American people and the government itself. That being said, men like you and Trump need to stop being so utterly gynocentric and start controlling your biology and stop willingly enslaving yourself to females through bad decisions (who you procreate with and put into positions of power).”
“Yeah, I sure dig my own grave and inadvertently cause pain for many people I care about too,” Musk replied. “I am very worried about population collapse destroying civilization, but this doesn’t really solve that problem.”
