Mattes told LifeSiteNews, “I feel immensely honored that the board has chosen me to lead this organization into the future.  It is not done by one individual.  I’m confident that the whole team will work together to protect innocent life from womb to tomb.”

Mattes is a two-time Regional Emmy® award winning host and executive producer of a weekly, pro-life television program called Facing Life Head-On, which is available to over 100 million households throughout America and Canada. He also hosts Life Issues, a daily radio commentary, as well as occasional half-hour radio programs on abortion and related issues.

John-Henry Westen, Co-Founder and Editor in Chief at LifeSiteNews congratulated Mattes on the new appointment.  “Brad is a man of deep faith whose commitment to life and passion for defending the defenceless is second to none,” said Westen.  “We know he will be a worthy successor to the great Dr. Wilke.”

Mattes also serves on the Board of Directors of the Terri Schiavo Life and Hope Network. He is a veteran of the pro-life cause, with over 37 years of educational, political and humanitarian experience.
