LOS ANGELES (LifeSiteNews) — Jesus Christ in the Blessed Sacrament was processed last week through the Sunset Strip in West Hollywood, Los Angeles, one of the most famous hubs of worldly glamour, ahead of the release of a film on the Eucharist.

Archbishop José Horacio Gómez of Los Angeles led a procession of the Eucharist through Sunset Strip, known as “Hollywood’s Playground,” joined by a massive crowd of at least a thousand people, all in support of the film Adore Him: He is Here, a docudrama about Eucharistic adoration.

The Eucharist was carried for almost two miles through the palm-lined, iconic strip past the bases of worldly idols, including the Church of Scientology, a Hustler store, and an LGBT center, as bells heralded the presence of Christ.

“Jesus was passing by every worldly icon to be the true Icon raised up in the heart of a territory that worships self, sin and the fleeting things of this world,” wrote one of the marketers of the film, Alexis Walkenstein, a former Emmy award-winning journalist.

The procession was joined by Father Paul Sustayta, the pastor of Blessed Sacrament Catholic Church, and Deacon Steve Greco, executive producer of Adore Him, among a mass of laypeople.

“Imagine a thousand plus Catholic faithful of every ethnic background, age and state in life processing in prayer with Jesus Christ, singing in Spanish, reciting the Rosary and witnessing the truth of the One, Holy, Catholic, Apostolic faith as onlookers caught a glimpse as He passed by,” Lexi wrote.

Adore Him will be released in U.S. theaters on October 4-8. Get a sneak peek of the film and learn more at the Adore Him film website.
