BUCHAREST, Romania (LifeSiteNews) – The owner of Romania’s most celebrated soccer team has suggested that he may ban players who have taken the abortion-tainted COVID shots because of detrimental effects on their ability to perform at the top level.

Gigi Becali, the Romanian businessman and politician at the helm of soccer team Steaua Bucharest, has said that he would consider removing COVID-“vaccinated” players from the field owing to the effects of the jab, which he said make the sportsmen “powerless” and open them to injury.

“You’re going to laugh, but I might be right. Those vaccinated lose their strength. That’s something scientific,” Becali told Romanian outlet Pro X. Commenting on rival teams CFR Cluj and Rapid Bucuresti, Becali said that players who had taken the shots “seemed to be fainting. They slept on the ground.”

“I also see mine, the vaccinated ones. It doesn’t affect some, but it does affect those who are older,” the club’s owner stated, adding that “[a]ll vaccinated people lose their strength!”

Romanian journalist Emanuel Roşu noted that the businessman “finished his phone interview laughing, saying he will not stop vaxed players from playing even though he finds them weakened.”

Becali also recently claimed that Steaua Bucharest forward Claudiu Keresu has been adversely affected by the COVID jab and is unable to play at the same standard as before.

As Keresu returned to Becali’s club following an extended period at a Bulgarian team, the owner reportedly told the player, “You can’t go to this level anymore. You can play in Romania, but not at FCSB (Steaua Bucharest) and CFR.”

“He said he would show me, but he has nothing to show me. It can’t be at this level anymore. It’s possible because of the vaccine. I say what I think. I don’t want to offend him,” Becali said.

In response, the Romanian government released a statement on its Facebook vaccine information page, stating “Vaccinated footballers do NOT lose their strength after being vaccinated against COVID-19!”

“’Vaccination against COVID-19 does not affect the performance of football players. In contrast, there are enough studies showing that going through SARS CoV-2 infection leaves long-term sequelae (Long COVID), and these can influence athletes’ performance,” the government wrote.

However, professional athletes, including many elite soccer stars, have suffered sudden, yet unexplained cardiopulmonary injuries during gameplay since taking the shots against COVID-19.

According to a December report in The Exposé, data on worldwide soccer match deaths showed a startling 278 percent increase in cardiovascular deaths last year against the 12-year average.

Meanwhile, top French tennis star Gael Monfils recently dropped out of tournaments owing to an injury which he said is “probably” an adverse reaction to taking the COVID shot.

“I suffered a small health glitch (probably following my third dose of the vaccine),” Monfils posted on his Twitter page. “On the advice of my doctor, I decided to take some time off to rest. Unfortunately, I won’t be able to compete in the Davis Cup next week. I hope to be able to return to the United States.”
