SYDNEY, August 1, 2003 ( – EXIT Australia, the euthanasia group that marketed the suicide/homicide bag, is conducting an environmental test in reverse—checking exhaust fumes from cars to ensure they are toxic enogh to kill someone.  The group objects to the tests being called “macabre”. “You get the feeling it’s a lot of people around there wanting to take their life. It’s not about that,” said John Edge, EXIT’s Queensland coordinator.  Edge said the test was not about determining which model of car was the best to die with, but to allow EXIT Australia members to check whether their own vehicles would do the job should they ever decide to kill themselves.  For newswire coverage:
