HAMILTON, Nov 10 (LSN)  A failed “mercy killing” on Sunday has left six-year-old Brandy-Leigh Thompson in critical condition at the McMaster University Medical Centre. The child, who has cerebral palsy, was given a near lethal dose of medication by her mother Lisa Thompson and rescued by police and firefighters after being tipped off. Thompson was released on $1,000 bail yesterday and is awaiting a hearing.
