October 1, 2018 (LifeSiteNews) – World-renowned Italian tenor Andrea Bocelli has just released an extraordinary music video performed with his son, 21-year-old Matteo.

“Anyone who is a parent, anyone who knows the precious responsibility of being a mother or a father, will fully grasp the meaning of this piece,” said Bocelli. “‘Fall On Me’ is the first time I have duetted with my son Matteo Bocelli.”

While famous for his singing talent, Bocelli is also famous for his staunch pro-life views, which he has said are founded on his faith.

“The pair sing in English and Italian in a heartfelt tribute to each other,” declares classicfm.com.

In the past, Bocelli has made it clear that he is not merely “anti-abortion” but genuinely pro-life, in the fullest sense.

“Because of my personal convictions as a devout Catholic, I am not only fighting against something, I am fighting for something – and I am for life,” he said.

Matteo is one of two sons from Bocelli's 1992 marriage to Enrica Cenzatti. The couple separated in 2002. The singer then partnered with Veronica Berti that same year, whom he went on to civilly marry in 2012. Bocelli's sons grew up with their biological mother.

Bocelli once recounted how doctors had tried to convince his mother to abort him, warning that her child would be born with a disability.

She refused, and her son grew up to become a musical superstar.

Bocelli was born to Alessandro and Edi Bocelli. Just as the doctors had warned, their son was born with congenital glaucoma. He has stated that his mother's decision to give birth to him and overrule the doctor's advice was the inspiration for him to oppose abortion.

His mother has said that it was Bocelli’s blindness that led him to music in the first place.
