OTTAWA, May 28 (LSN) – Representatives from various federal political parties took part in a Parliament Hill fundraiser April 28 for the gay-activist group Equality for Gays and Lesbians Everywhere (EGALE).  Ottawa’s pro-gay Capital Xtra newspaper reported last Wednesday on the event.  Secretary of State for Multiculturalism and the Status of Women Hedy Fry turned up to demonstrate the support of the Liberal government. Scott Brisson represented the Conservatives, contrasting the pro-family stand of interim PC leader Elsie Wayne. Louise Hardy represented the strongly pro-gay NDP. The Reform Party, which opposes re-defining the definitions of marriage and family according to the gay agenda, was not represented.
