CLEARWATER, Florida, November 14, 2002 (LifeSiteNews.com) – Michael Schiavo has devoted four years to having his brain-damaged wife, Terri Schindler-Schiavo, 38, removed from life support so that he can marry his mistress. Having stopped therapy early on that was proving successful, he has moved her from one nursing home to another since her unexplained collapse in 1990. Now, the total-body bone scan performed when Terri was first placed in rehab reveals that she suffered multiple fractures; according to a doctor giving the report its first thorough review, “Somebody worked her over real good.” There was already some evidence that her collapse was due to attempted strangulation. The lawyer fighting Schiavo’s campaign to starve his wife to death has filed an emergency motion this week to delay a court ruling while the lawyer develops the new medical evidence. Circuit Judge George Greer is expected to rule again in the husband’s favour by November 22. But the woman’s family has a videotape in which Terri seems to interact with her mother and follow commands to open and shut her eyes.
