CALGARY, Alberta (LifeSiteNews) – A former WestJet training captain fired for refusing to comply with the airline’s COVID vaccine mandate said jab injuries among active pilots in Canada are “definitely” happening.

“I have direct anecdotal proof,” Rob Simpson, a former Boeing 737 training captain with WestJet, told LifeSiteNews.

Simpson is the spokesperson for the Cause for Action, Justice For WestJetters, a group of 140 former WestJet employees suing the airline and the Canadian federal government over COVID jab mandates.

He told LifeSiteNews that when it comes to adverse reactions from the COVID shots in pilots, he can for certain say it’s going on.

Simpson said that a pilot he knows who took the vaccines under threat of job loss, but who did not want the injections, is now having issues.

“There’s a man who I will not name is very concerned about his heart health as he is working,”  Simpson said.

“He is concerned about his heart health after the shots. That is a situation where the active pilot is completely crippled with fear of reprisal and losing his career (should he speak out).”

Simpson noted that the pilot took the “shots under coercion to keep his job,” but now “he’s the unlucky person with adverse events, where a cardiac event could cause him to not fly anymore.”

As for Simpson, after spending 11 years with WestJet, he was terminated for not complying with the airline’s mandate.

He said that he was trying to do his “very best to keep” his medical status private before being fired.

Others like Simpson have spoken out against firsthand knowledge of COVID jab-related injuries among pilots.

Dr. Peter McCullough, a world-renowned cardiologist, in April testified that 30% of pilots may be unfit to fly due to COVID jab injuries.

An American Airlines pilot in a video from a hospital said it was his employer’s COVID jab that caused him to suffer a heart attack after piloting a flight on April 9.

The Cause for Action, Justice For WestJetters group’s stand against the COVID jab mandates placed on the aviation sector by the Canadian federal government of Prime Minister Justin Trudeau and WestJet, was first announced earlier in the month.

The group said that the Trudeau government collaborated “with airlines and other corporate stakeholders” to implement “punitive and divisive COVID vaccination mandates, creating a two-tier society stoked by fear, division, and anger.”

The group says that due to emerging evidence regarding the COVID jabs’ negative effects, it is “abundantly clear that a great deal of scientific information was never communicated to the public.”

“Harm from the covid vaccine mandate is irrefutable. We are your family, friends and neighbours, and we have experienced significant suffering. Loss of employment and relationships, while having our rights trampled and cast aside, is a reality society can no longer ignore. In acknowledging these harsh realities, we are pursuing legal action against the Government of Canada and WestJet Airlines,” the group said.

Both WestJet and Air Canada last fall mandated that all employees be vaccinated. This resulted in hundreds losing their jobs.

Some pilots who lost their job last year recounted their stories to LifeSiteNews and explained that they began to fight back through the creation of the group “Free to Fly.”

The group’s goal is to “seek relief for WestJet employees and set the record straight to ensure these mandates never return, benefiting all Canadians.”

In October 2021, Trudeau announced unprecedented COVID-19 jab mandates for all federal workers and those in the transportation sector and said the un-jabbed will no longer be able to travel by air, boat, or train, both domestically and internationally.

Trudeau “suspended” the COVID travel vaccine mandates on June 20. However, those without the jabs still must quarantine for two weeks upon returning home.
