REGINA, SASK, Aug 26 (LSN) – Evangeline Godron, 64, who in July won a court case allowing her to go topless in public, was charged Tuesday with assault following her refusal to leave a public pool when asked by the manager and police. Regina police Sgt. Hal Zorn explained that the Criminal Code allows someone to be charged with “assault by a trespasser” if they refuse to leave property when asked by the owner or manager.  The pool’s manager says that the indecency crusader has been at the pool 5 times since the court case to publicize her new “right.” Authorities were willing to release Godron from custody if she agreed not to return to the pool, but she refused to make such a promise.
