OTTAWA, Jan 12 (LifeSiteNews.com)  Yesterday Prime Minister Jean Chretien announced the appointment of Clyde K.  Wells as Chief Justice to the Court of Appeal of the Supreme Court of Newfoundland. Wells was Premier of Newfoundland from 1989 to 1996. He initiated the quest to end the constitutionally guaranteed right of religious schooling in the province which was completed by current premier Brian Tobin.
