JERUSALEM, June 4, 2002 (LSN.ca) – Jerusalem, one of the world most revered cities, according to Christians, Jews and Muslims, will be desecrated by a homosexual “gay pride” march on Friday.  Open House, the homosexual activist group organizing the march, recognizes it as more than a march in support of local homosexuals and is expecting thousands of participants including delegations from homosexual activist groups around the world.  Hagai Elad, director of the Jerusalem Open House said, “We are expecting thousands to participate in this unprecedented march, including groups from Italy, Sweden and Canada.”  The group had demanded that the city fund the march but the city refused the request.  Open House took the matter to the Israeli high Court of Justice which issued an interim decision Monday calling on the city to review its policy on funding such events in the city.  The Jerusalem Post reports that Orthodox Shas deputy Nissim Ze’ev slammed the march on Monday, telling Israel radio it “would constitute an injury to the holy character of Jerusalem … and to the morals and the sacred values of the people of Israel, which was based around the family”.  See related coverage:  https://story.news.yahoo.com/news?tmpl=story&u=/po/20020604/co_po/jerusalem_gays_petition_court_for_parade https://www.jpost.com/NASApp/cs/ContentServer?pagename=JPost/A/JPArticle/Full&cid=1022691076097
