(LifeSiteNews) — On this week’s episode of The Bishop Strickland Show, Bishop Joseph Strickland explains why he was one of the dozens of prelates to sign an open letter warning Germany’s Catholic hierarchy that its so-called Synodal Way will lead to “schism.”

“It should be every bishop, in my opinion, and it’s because we’re being bishops. Bishops are to guard the deposit of faith. It’s a promise we made,” he says. “And frankly, the Synodal Path of Germany, as proposed, is doing the opposite. It’s eroding the deposit of faith. It’s saying, ‘Oh, it’s all up for grabs.'”

His Excellency also reminds listeners, specifically Catholic men, that it is their duty to stand up for the truth and speak out against lies and confusion.

“We stand for something much greater than any nation of this world, for the Kingdom of God,” Bishop Strickland says.
