COLOGNE, Nov 24 (LSN) – The German Medical Association said in a statement today that preborn children who have reached viability (around the 24th week) should be given the same right to legal protection as already born children. The Pro-Life Infonet reported that the restriction on these late abortions would also hold in cases where the abortion was being sought for medical reasons. The report said the only exceptions would be in very rare cases in which extremely severe and incurable diseases or developmental deficiencies are present.
