STRASBOURG, France (LifeSiteNews) – A German MEP says that she’d rather go to jail than take a COVID jab.
Christine Anderson, a member of the German party Alternative für Deutschland (AFD), delivered a clear challenge to the European and German governments during a press conference at the EU parliament in Strasbourg last week.
“I dare the European Commission and the German government,” she said.
“Throw me in jail, lock me up, and throw away the key for all I care, but you will never be able to coerce me into being vaccinated if I, the free citizen that I am, choose not to be vaccinated.”
Anderson made her powerful speech against the COVID jab mandates and digital so-called “green passport” at a press conference where she joined forces with three likeminded MEPS. She called the mandatory “green pass” a violation of the fundamental rights of EU citizens.
“The compulsory use of the digital green certificate undermines everything Europeans stand for,” Anderson declared.
“It violates constitutionally guaranteed, fundamental rights, and it constitutes the first step towards the insufferable Chinese social credit system,” she continued.
“I will never stand for this; I will never put up with this.”
The green pass is used to prove that a person is either fully vaccinated against or has recently recovered from COVID-19. It is required to get access to basic venues in some EU member states such as Germany, Italy and France; a state of affairs which a minority of Members of European Parliament say violates the fundamental rights of EU citizens as enshrined in the EU charter.
Anderson began her speech by condemning the majority of MEPs who voted for the vaccine passport.
“I voted against the digital green certificate back in April,” she said.
“Unfortunately, it was adopted nonetheless. This just goes to show that there is only a minority of MEPs who truly stand for European values,” she continued.
“The majority of MEPs, for whatever reasons unbeknown to me, obviously support oppression of the people while claiming shamelessly to do it for the people’s own good.
Anderson explained that the oppressive nature of the measure stems not from its goal, but rather from the methods with which the goal is pursued. At the same time, she argued that one should “never take anything any government tells [them] at face value, [and should] always question everything that any government does or does not do.”
She called for people to question and challenge governments which claim to act for the common good.
“Always look for ulterior motives, and always ask ‘Cui bono? Who benefits?’” she said.
Anderson declared that the extreme pressure put on people to receive the COVID vaccine to the point where some have practically been forced into compliance, is proof that financial interests, not the common good, are at stake.
She argued that “whenever a political elite pushes an agenda this hard, and resorts to extortion and manipulation to get their way, you can almost always be sure [that] your benefit is definitely not what they have at heart.”
“The only thing this vaccine did for sure was to send billions and billions of dollars in the pockets of pharmaceutical companies,” she said, after pointing out that the vaccine neither renders people immune to the virus nor stops them from spreading it.
Anderson also expressed concerns over the vaccines themselves, alluding to “possible long term side effects, which to this day we don’t know anything about.”
Since the COVID vaccines have been authorized for emergency use and later granted a rushed and disputed approval by the FDA, thousands of deaths and serious injuries have been reported in relation to their use, according to data coming directly from the Vaccine Adverse Event Reporting System (VAERS). Very little is currently known about potential long-term side effects.
Anderson criticized the rushed manner in which these vaccines were manufactured and imposed on the general population and explained that she will not be getting the jab.
“As far as I’m concerned, I will not be vaccinated with anything that has not been properly vetted and tested and has shown no sound scientific evidence that the benefits outweigh [the risks posed] by the disease itself,” she said.
“I will not be reduced to a mere guinea-pig by getting vaccinated with an experimental drug, and I will most assuredly not get vaccinated because my government tells me to and promises that, in return, I will be granted freedom,” she added.
Mainstream newspaper EU Observer has accused Anderson and her fellow MEPs of resorting to “scare tactics”, spreading “false information,” and making “false claims” about the COVID vaccines while, in fact, nothing in their statements contradicts available data regarding the vaccines.
Anderson powerfully asserted her own freedom before the European Parliament when she boldly stated that “no one grants me freedom, for I am a free person.”
The three other MEPs present at the press conference also addressed parliament and expressed similar sentiments.
One notable comment came from Italian lawyer and MEP Francesca Donato who said the green pass “violates human rights as enshrined in the EU Charter of Fundamental Rights.”
Anderson, Donato, an MEP from Croatia, and an MEP from Romania had already joined forces the week before at an October 20 press conference entitled “Defending fundamental rights by opposing the misuse of Digital Green Certificate.”
