BONN, Dec 12, 2000 (LSN.ca) – Human Rights Watch, today commended Germany for becoming the 25th country to ratify the Rome Treaty for the International Criminal Court (ICC). Today, Germany took the formal step to become the twenty-fifth state to ratify the treaty, by depositing its “instrument of ratification” at the United Nations. The Marshall Islands became the twenty-fourth state to ratify on December 7, 2000, reports HRW.
