August 15, 2019 (LifeSiteNews) – A Google whistleblower responsible for numerous leaks detailing the internet giant’s anti-conservative bias has gone on the record in a new interview with Project Veritas, releasing even more documents in the process.
On Wednesday, the conservative investigative group released an interview with senior software engineer Zachary Vorhies detailing his revelations from and experience with the company:
In June, Vorhies leaked to Veritas documents detailing the “editorial guidelines” for Google’s “news ecosystem” as well as how the company uses its “Machine Learning Fairness” tool to prioritize political correctness over “factually accurate representations” in its search results. He says that following that leak, Google had San Francisco Police go to Vorhies’ home for a “mental health call.”
“They got inside the gate, the police, and they started banging on my door,” he told Veritas. “And so the police decided that they were going to call in additional forces. They called in the FBI, they called in the SWAT team. And they called in a bomb squad … this is a large way in which (Google tries to) intimidate their employees that go rogue on the company.”
As part of this latest report, Project Veritas has published more than 950 documents shedding light on numerous Google content practices, including one on ranking the “fringe” content of news websites, and another showing that “human raters” help decide whether a video contains “fake news.”
Also included in the leak is Google’s full, unredacted blacklist for YouTube search terms, though it remains unclear precisely how the blacklist impacts search results.
Many are variants of potential search-term combinations pertaining to mass shootings such as the 2017 Las Vegas shooting and the 2018 Parkland shooting (and especially conspiracy theories surrounding such crimes), but also phrases such as “abortion is barbaric,” “abortion increases breast cancer,” and queries about do-it-yourself abortions.

“I gave the documents to Project Veritas, I had been collecting the documents for over a year,” Vorhies explained. “And the reason why I collected these documents was because I saw something dark and nefarious going on with the company and I realized that there were going to not only tamper with the elections, but use that tampering with the elections to essentially overthrow the United States.”
“These documents were available to every single employee within the company that was full time,” he continued. “And so as a full-time employee at the company, I just searched for some keywords and these documents started to pop up. And so once I started finding one document and started finding keywords for other documents and I would enter that in and continue this cycle until I had a treasure trove and archive of documents that clearly spelled out the system, what they’re attempting to do in very clear language.”
The latest report adds to a case conservatives have been making since 2016 that the internet giant has a left-wing bias. Numerous leaked private conversations appear to show not only that the dominant ideologies at Google are dramatically out of step with the country at large, but that the company is willing to enforce those ideologies through its ostensibly neutral services and platforms.
Other Google scandals include analysis finding a heavy liberal tilt to news sources, estimates that Google may have swung as many as 2.6 million votes to Hillary Clinton in 2016, partnership with the left-wing Southern Poverty Law Center for flagging “hate,” and the restriction of videos from conservative groups such as Prager University and Live Action.
“My message to those that are on the fence is I released the documents,” Vorhies told Project Veritas. “They can go in, they can see everything that Google is doing and then they can see the scale of it. Because I think that there’s a lot of engineers that have a hint that things are wrong, but they don’t understand the colossal scale that it’s at. And so for those people, I say, look at the documents, take the pulse of America, see what’s happening and come and tell the world you know what you already know to be true.”
