PHILADELPHIA, May 13, 2013 (LifeSiteNews) – Eileen O’Neill, an unlicensed medical school graduate who assisted convicted murderer Kermit Gosnell in his filthy Philadelphia abortion clinic, was found guilty Monday of conspiracy, participation in a corrupt organization, and two counts of theft by deception.

The verdict against O’Neill was returned by the same jury that found Gosnell guilty of first degree murder for severing the necks of three babies born alive after abortion procedures.

O’Neill was acquitted of five additional counts of theft by deception.

O’Neill did not face any charges directly related to abortion or murder.  She was accused of misrepresenting herself as a doctor to Gosnell’s clientele, charging them for procedures she was not licensed or qualified to perform.

O’Neill’s defense attorney had argued that while O'Neill was not licensed to practice medicine, she did have a medical degree and would always have Gosnell sign off on her recommendations and prescriptions.

But witnesses for the prosecution testified that O’Neill practiced medicine autonomously and billed for services as if she were a licensed physician.

Several of Gosnell's staff performed complex medical tasks, including performing ultrasounds and administering anaesthesia, without proper licensing or any formal training whatsoever.

O’Neill is under house arrest while she awaits sentencing.
