LONDON, May 11 (LSN) – In Britain, the first children screened as embryos by the government’s Human Fertilisation and Embryology Authority have been brought to term. The Independent reported last week that 50 children have been born having survived the scrutiny of scientists prior to being implanted in their mothers’ wombs.  Pro-lifers are alarmed at the blatant eugenics behind the process; but Dr David King, editor of Genethics News, predicts that embryos screening will teach people that “having children is a serious matter which must not be left to chance…[and]…that children have a right to the best genetic chance in life.”
