(LifeSiteNews) — Harvard University, one of the nation’s top colleges, hired a drag queen professor who has adopted the name “LaWhore Vagistan” and often shows up in his classroom dressed in women’s clothing and makeup and refers to himself as “aunty.”

Kareem Khubchandani, a professor from Tufts University, has been chosen as Harvard’s F.O. Matthiessen Visiting Professor of Gender and Sexuality, part of Harvard’s “Studies of Women, Gender, and Sexuality” program.

The position, named after a deceased homosexual Harvard professor, is funded by Harvard’s LGBT alumni group and the university’s gay and lesbian caucus.

“My name is LaWhore Vagistan, my preferred pronouns are ‘she’ or ‘aunty,’” Khubchandani explained in interviews. “I chose ‘LaWhore’ because my family traces its origins to Pakistan: Lahore is an important city in Pakistan, and well, I’m a bit of a whore.”

“And Vagistan because I see the subcontinent as one, big, beautiful Vag … istan. Close your eyes and visualise it: India is the uterus-vagina, Pakistan and Bangladesh are the ovaries, Afghanistan, Nepal, Burma, and Bhutan are the fallopian tubes.”” he added.

Khubchandani will teach a fall course titled “Queer Ethnography,” and in the spring his topic will be “RuPaulitics: Drag, Race, and Desire.”

Outside the classroom, Khubchandani has authored books with titles such as “Ishstyle: Accenting Gay Indian Nightlife” and “Lessons in Drag: A Queer Manual for Academics, Artists, and Aunties.”

According to the Harvard website, the “Queer Ethnography” class has yet to reach its maximum number of students.
