JACKSON, Mississippi, May 30, 2018 (LifeSiteNews) – A healthy baby girl was born at Mississippi’s only abortion facility today, bringing into question just how far along in a pregnancy that the center will commit abortions.

The Clarion Ledger reported that Jackson Women’s Health Organization, the state’s notorious bright pink abortion facility, said the mother was there for a consultation visit.

She “went into labor as she awaited an ultrasound to see how far along she was in her pregnancy,” according to the Clarion Ledger. “A clinic doctor delivered the baby … The mother and daughter were transported to a local hospital after the birth.”

Jackson Women’s Health Organization claims it only aborts babies through the 16th week of pregnancy. It’s currently suing Mississippi for enacting a law banning abortions on babies 15 weeks and older. That law has been put on hold pending the legal challenge.

Mississippi law currently bans abortions starting at 20 weeks, halfway through pregnancy, when it has been medically proven that preborn babies can feel pain, though there is evidence that they feel pain earlier.

Considering the baby was born healthy, one would assume she was close to or nearly full term.
