BARRIE, ON, April 17, 2002 (LSN.ca) – Dr. Stephen Dawson, the Barrie Ontario family doctor who is in danger of losing his medical licence over his refusal to prescribe the birth control pill to unmarried women, has had his hearing delayed. In an interview with LifeSite today, Dawson noted that his disciplinary hearing at the College of Physicians and Surgeons, which was to commence yesterday, has been put over until September due to the reception of another complaint.

Dawson also told LifeSite that the hearing has been extended from a 4-day to a 10-day undertaking. Dr. Dawson has scaled down his practice and is not taking new patients.
