OTTAWA, Sept 24 (LSN) – A meeting to debate and vote on pro-abortion and pro-euthanasia amendments to the 2,300 year old Hippocratic oath will take place on October 14th in Ottawa at the General Assembly of the World Medical Association (WMA). As LSN reported earlier this month, the WMA is looking to replace the section of the oath which reads, “I will give no deadly medicine to anyone if asked, nor suggest any such counsel; and in like manner I will not give a woman a pessary to produce abortion.”  One suggested revision of the passage by the World Medical Association says, “Where abortion is legally permitted, I promise to perform it legally and ethically.” In seeking to allow for euthanasia, another suggestion reads: “prolongation of life is not the only goal of health care.”
