FRONT ROYAL, Virginia, Dec 21, 2000 (LSN.ca) – Human Life International has appointed Father Thomas Euteneuer as its new president with acting president, Father Matthew Habiger, assuming the role of HLI chairman.

An HLI press release indicates that Father Euteneuer has a bachelor’s degree in Philosophy from the University of Notre Dame in Indiana as well as a licentiate degree in Biblical Theology from the Pontifical Gregorian University in Rome, Italy. Ordained in 1988, he has served as parish priest in five different parishes of the Diocese of Palm Beach, Florida, Secretary to the Bishop, Director of Vocations, and Spiritual Moderator for the diocesan Respect Life office. Father Euteneuer, has been involved for many years with the pro-life movement through prayer vigils, pickets, conferences, training sessions, a lawsuit against an abortion clinic, the establishment of an ecumenical crisis pregnancy center, and pilgrimages to the Basilica of Our Lady of Guadalupe in Mexico.
