TORONTO, September 26, 2002 (LSN.ca) – As St. Michael’s College (Catholic), an affiliate of the University of Toronto, is about to celebrate its 150th anniversary this year, it is also set to approve the application of a homosexual activist group calling itself “Q@SMC” (Queers at St. Mike’s College).
When Catholic student Michael Connell approached the College chaplain Fr. Terry Kersch with his concerns about the group, he was insulted and accused of engaging in Nazi tactics. This latest saga adds more evidence to many concerns by others, especially alumni, that Toronto’s 150 year old, previously distinguished Catholic University has been brought to severe decline by out-of-control, moral and theological liberals now in charge of the College.
