SAINT JOHN, July 28, 2003 (LifeSiteNews.com) – Outspoken pro-life, pro-family MP Elsie Wayne is being hit with a formal human rights complaint from homosexual activists for her defence of marriage. About a dozen local gay activists, upset by what they call the MP’s “disgraceful rant” in the House of Commons last May, are mounting the attack.  The New Brunswick MP provoked a firestorm from militant gay movement supporters when she said: “When it comes to people who wish to live together, whether they are women or men, why do they have to be out here in the public always wanting to call it marriage. … If they are going to live together, they can go live together and shut up about it. There is no need for this nonsense whatsoever and we should not have to tolerate it in Canada.”  Asked to comment on the new attack on her, Elsie Wayne said: “They’ve made all their statements and they can continue to make them, I don’t really care.”  With a file from The Canadian Press https://www.ctv.ca/servlet/ArticleNews/story/CTVNews/1059050310568_279///?hub=Canada
