WASHINGTON, D.C., July 17, 2015 (LifeSiteNews) – House Democrats believe the Planned Parenthood video is overblown, a faux scandal – just like the murder of a U.S. ambassador in Benghazi, Libya.

A video of the doctor who oversees medical practices at all Planned Parenthood affiliates discussing organ harvesting has “got a Benghazi feel to it, for me,” Rep. Scott Peters, D-CA, told The Hill.

On September 11, 2012, Islamic fundamentalists overran the U.S. Embassy at Benghazi, killing Ambassador Chris Stevens and three others. The Obama administration initially categorized the uprising as a spontaneous response to an anti-Islamic video, going so far as to jail its creator, Mark Bassely Youssef.

It was later revealed that the video had nothing to do with the premeditated terrorist attack.

Rep. Barbara Lee, D-CA, also dismissed the House investigation, saying, “They’ve been attacking Planned Parenthood for years.” Lee was the only person in Congress to vote against making war on the Taliban after that regime harbored Osama bin Laden and the al-Qaeda plotters of the 9/11 attacks.

House Minority Leader Nancy Pelosi told The Daily Caller that there had “been a kind of misrepresentation of the conversation that took place in the transcript in the conversation in the video.”

“I don’t know why they need an investigation,” she added.

Pelosi once referred to the abortion debate as “sacred ground.”

Illinois Democrat Jan Schakowsky, the keynote speaker at the 2004 Democratic Socialists of America’s 46th annual gala dinner, also defended the organization.
