CINCINNATI, Apr 8 (LSN) – Larry Flynt, publisher of the pornographic magazine Hustler, was indicted yesterday by a Hamilton County grand jury for selling hard-core pornographic videos to a 14-year-old boy. Flynt, who was idolized as a free-speech martyr in the recent film, The People v.  Larry Flynt, was charged along with his brother Jimmy on 15 counts, including disseminating material harmful to a juvenile, pandering obscenity, conspiracy, and engaging in a pattern of corruption at Flynt’s downtown bookstore.  Since Hollywood remade him as a hero, Flynt has taunted local authorities to arrest him, by handing out free copies of Hustler. Hamilton county Prosecutor Joseph Deters told a news conference that the videos were “the most vile, degrading matter ever sold in Hamilton County.” If convicted,  the Flynt brothers could receive up to 24 years in prison.  In the wake of last year’s hype over The People v. Larry Flynt, the pornographer’s daughter Tonya Flynt-Vega revealed that the new hero of the “cultural elite” had subjected her to sexual abuse as a child. She also said she believes the abusive behaviour was caused by his obsession with pornography.
