Hello LifeSite readers,

My name is David Bereit, director of 40 Days for Life — a community-based pro-life campaign that works to end abortion in local communities through prayer and fasting, peaceful vigils outside abortion centers, and grassroots community outreach.

Since 2007, more than 625,000 volunteers have participated in 40 Days for Life campaigns in 539 cities across 24 nations, and with God’s help we’ve experienced unprecedented results:

  • 8,973 babies saved from abortion

  • 57 abortion centers closed down

  • 101 workers experiencing conversions and quitting the abortion industry (including Abby Johnson, who sent you an email a few days ago.)

As I write this message to you today, the next 40 Days for Life campaign is beginning in 297 cities across North America and around the world. I’d like to personally invite you to join this movement by praying, fasting, and joining one of the peaceful vigils over these next 40 days.

But there’s one more thing I’d like to ask you to do today to make a life-saving impact … please, join me in supporting the vital work of LifeSiteNews.

From the beginning of 40 Days for Life, LifeSite has been a key partner in accelerating our growth and success.

LifeSite has bent over backwards to make sure the news of our ministry reached millions of people across the globe, and many new leaders and volunteers have gotten involved in 40 Days for Life due to LifeSite.

Personally, I depend on the work of LifeSite daily to help in developing our campaigns around the world, because they are the only international news agency dedicated to covering the issues of life, family, and culture.

I know I can trust their reporting to provide me the information I need as we make strategic decisions, plan for new campaigns, and become more effective in the areas where we already have a presence.

So, I am asking you today to consider joining me in making the most generous donation you can make in support of LifeSite’s vital work.

You can make a donation to their Fall Campaign by clicking here.

LifeSite is already halfway through their campaign, so with only 7 days left I am contributing today … and hoping and praying that you will also come through in helping them reach their $150,000 goal.

We all need LifeSite now, more than ever, if we are going to continue to have an increasing impact on the efforts to end abortion.

And I hope LifeSite doesn’t mind me saying this, but as a director of a non-profit organization myself, their $150,000 campaign goal is TOO LOW if they are going to continue growing the way the life and family movement needs them to grow.

They are spread out around the world, doing time-consuming investigative research and reporting on the issues the mainstream media either won’t touch – or gives us biased reporting on – and they are doing all this as a free service to the public on a budget so small I don’t know how they get it all done!

For 40 Days for Life, and for entire the life and family movement around the world, I am asking for your support in helping LifeSite not only reach its minimal Fall Campaign goal, but to surpass it completely!

With millions of people visiting their website each month, could you donate $1,000 or more? If that’s a bit of a stretch, could you donate $500 or more? Even your donation of $250 today can make a powerful difference.

Whatever you can give — whether it’s $1,000 or just $25 — please give generously and know that you are supporting an organization of integrity … and you are supporting the entire movement when you give to LifeSiteNews.

Thank you for your support. Your generosity truly can help mark the beginning of the end of abortion in our world!
