OTTAWA, Apr 25 (LifeSiteNews.com) – Canada’s Immigration and Refugee Board (IRB) has granted refugee status to a 26-year-old Chinese woman who escaped from her country fearing forced sterilization. The woman conceived a child under the legal marrying age of twenty and was thus subject to abortion and sterilization according to the Chinese one-child policy. The IRB said in its ruling that, “she has run up against the often-draconian implementation of family planning policies of China.”
