OTTAWA, October 29, 2003 (LifeSiteNews.com) – World governance advocate, Maurice Strong has said he will not seek money in advising Liberal MP Paul Martin, who is shortly set to take over as Prime Minister of Canada. Strong, 74, one of the top advisors to the United Nations Secretary General, told the press he and Martin were “friends” and that as such Martin “doesn’t need to give me a job to get my advice.” As one of the most radical international change activists, Strong preaches radical environmentalism, and one world government – or collective governance as he puts it, and closely associates with those who advocate massive world depopulation. In his typical innocent sounding double-talk Strong worked his way around charges of his critics. “World government won’t work,” he said Tuesday. He added however, “But the world won’t work without a system of governance that permits us to manage these issues collectively and co-operatively that we can’t manage alone.” Given Canada has been a major instigator of internationalist ideals such as the International Criminal Court and destructive social policies such as abortion on demand and as a human right, embryonic human stem cell research, homosexual ‘marriage’ and much more, Martin’s comment to the press might be seen in a sinister light. “I think we’re into one of the most exciting periods ever in Canadian history, where Canadian influence and Canadian leadership and Canadian example can have immense influence in the world,” he said.
