DUBLIN, Ireland, Nov 25 (LSN) – The Dublin High Court saved a baby’s life yesterday by forbidding a 13- year-old pregnant girl from traveling to Britain to abort her child. The decision is only temporary since it comes in response to an appeal, by the girl’s parents, of an earlier court ruling allowing an abortion.

On Friday a district court ruled to allow the girl to abort her baby despite vehement objection by her parents. The High Court provided a temporary injunction against killing the baby until the appeal is heard early this week. Youth Defence, a pro-life group, is paying the parents’ legal expenses. Desmond Connell, Archbishop of Dublin, said prayers for the girl and her unborn child would be offered at masses in the city today.
