DUBLIN, Dec 13, 2000 (LSN.ca) – The decision by the Irish Medicines Board to ban the morning-after pill, Levonelle since it is an abortifacient and thus contrary to the country’s constitution, has enraged abortion proponents in Ireland. The Irish Independent reports today that the Irish Family Planning Doctors Association has complained that the drugs are licensed in every other WU country except Greece and according to the Independent “not regarded as a form of abortion anywhere else worldwide.”
