News

We report on some pretty bad news.

Oftentimes, we get emails or phone calls from readers expressing their sadness, disbelief, or even an inability to read through our site on some days due to the alarming content of our stories.

Believe me, it’s certainly not easy for our reporters to research and follow developments on abortion, the homosexual agenda, euthanasia, social engineering, and other difficult issues.

It’s tough work.

But we do this because it’s crucial for us to inform you about what’s going on in the world, to keep you up-to-date on the culture war. We strive to bring you the truth that’s consistently ignored or distorted by the mainstream media – so that you can take much needed action.

Where else are you going to be as well informed?

While we frequently report on some pretty disheartening news, at the same time we also often publish stories that demonstrate the beauty and hope of the culture of life.

Back in April, our website was flooded with readers who flocked to the story about Jessica Council, the mother who sacrificed her life for her unborn child. https://www.lifesitenews.com/news/exclusive-young-mother-with-cancer-sacrifices-life-for-unborn-child/

While Jessica was suffering with cancer, she was encouraged by her doctors to abort her child.

But this was not an option for her.

This courageous woman also refused radiation treatment in fear of harming her baby.

Jessica’s brave story gives testimony to the true meaning of love – the sacrifice of the self for the sake of another.

Hate can only be defined as the sacrifice of the other for the sake of the self – a fitting description for the act of abortion.

The “bad news” on which we often report sometimes provokes discouragement, anger, or even despair, but stories such as Jessica’s and her sacrificial act out of love enkindles hope in the pro-life movement.

It’s stories like that of Jessica Council that make it all worth it.

At LifeSiteNews, the greatest fruits of our work – all of the investigative reporting, the grueling research, the endless stream of phone calls and news tips – are displayed in these beautiful and uplifting stories of hope.

And that’s what keeps us going.

That’s exactly what motivates the life and family movement and what unites all pro-life advocates scattered across the globe – hope and love.

But these stories cannot be shared without your support.

Through your donation of $5, $50, $500, or even $1,000 or more, you can help share our stories with the world. (Click here to donate to our Summer Campaign)

Please help us reach our goal of $150,000 by July 13th.

By enkindling hope and sharing stories of love, we can help build a culture of life for our children and our children’s children.

Thank you for your support.
