WASHINGTON, Jan 14 (LSN) – Norma McCorvey, a.k.a. Jane Roe, whose case established a constitutional “right” to abortion in the infamous Roe v. Wade decision, will testify against abortion at a Senate hearing marking the 25th anniversary of the US Supreme Court’s ruling. McCorvey announced in 1995 that she no longer believes in abortion, and admitted her claim to have become pregnant as a result of rape was a lie.  Mrs. McCorvey will be the keynote speaker Jan. 21 at a special hearing held by Senator John Ashcroft’s Senate Constitution Subcommittee. “As one who is strongly committed to the pro-life position, I admire her courage in standing with those who believe that Roe vs. Wade was a tragic error by the court,  with profound and ongoing consequences for the nation,’’ Senator Ashcroft said.
