MONCTON, NB, Nov 30 (LifeSiteNews.com) – Speaking to 300 students at a high school in New Brunswick yesterday, Progressive Conservative Leader Joe Clark said, “I think that women should have the right to choose although I do not support abortion personally.” Students were left to sort out the schizophrenic position and Clark was not asked why he does not support abortion personally.

Jim Hughes, leader of Campaign Life Coalition Canada, commented on Clark’s statements saying, “Joe is certainly developing his skills as a tightrope walker well before the election, but I think he’s stepped on a nail here.” Clark’s quote was reported in today’s issue of the Moncton Times and Transcript.
