A prophetic analysis of the UN Convention on the Rights of the Child in the September 1989 Interim notes the major role, then external affairs minister and current Tory leader Joe Clark played in foisting the convention on unsuspecting Canadians. Given Clarke’s recent “open letter to Reformers” there is once again evidence that he is an anti-family liberal cheerleader in conservative disguise.

The article by Sue Rodgerson sounded alarm bells long before Canadians finally woke up to the dangers this year because of the UNICEF sponsored Child Vote to be held Nov. 19. The vote is based on rights supposedly given in the Convention on the Rights of the Child. Rodgerson’s 1989 analysis made it plain that there was much to be concerned about in this convention.
