CLEARWATER, FL, September 19, 2003 ( –  Justice George Greer has ruled in the case of Terri Schiavo, the disabled woman whose estranged husband has been in a prolonged legal battle with her family to have Terri removed from her feeding tube, which would result in her death. Greer ruled Wednesday that Terri’s feeding tube will be removed at 2 pm on October 15.  Greer refused a last minute plea by Terri’s parents seeking to delay the tube removal order to give their daughter time to learn again to take food and water orally, which they believe is possible with therapy.  Two years ago a similar judge’s order left Terri without food for 60 hours until a second judge ordered the feeding tube replaced.  See the Bay News coverage:   See related LifeSite coverage:  Comatose Terri Schindler-Schiavo Heard on Tape Trying to Talk Medical Expert Suspected of Bias in Case of Disabled Woman in Danger of Death by Starvation
